The Dalai Lama has been taken to hospital in the Indian capital, Delhi, after complaining of pain in his arms, his spokesman said.

The Tibetan spiritual leader was taken to hospital from his home in the Indian hill town of Dharamsala, Chimme Chhoekyapa told the BBC.

Mr Chhoekyapa says it is "nothing to worry about" and that the Dalai Lama plans to visit Europe in a few days.

In October the Dalai Lama, 73, had surgery to remove a gallstone.

3. I had a *weird* one a couple years ago

4. Could be symptoms of a stroke or heart problem too. I wish him all
the best and I'm glad he is getting timely medical attention. I hope it's nothing more than a passing pain from something inconsequential.

5. Yea it could be something serious. Often blocked arteries, stroke, heart problems...
....seem like 'pinched nerves' because that's the type pain they cause.

I hope they check him out thoroughly.

6. I hope he's OK
it's one of my long-time wishes that he gets to live to see Tibet free and return there to live out the rest of his life. :evilfrown:

7. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to him.
He seems to keep going to the hospital when he makes the news the last year or so.
