Ashcroft assails corporate, government corruption

By TIM HOOVER
The Kansas City Star

JEFFERSON CITY — Attorney General John Ashcroft, addressing business and state lawmakers today, denounced corporate and government corruption as a threat to the nation's economic security.

Speaking before a gathering of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ashcroft said officials must root out corruption whether it is in the halls of government or the boardrooms of America. One way to do that is to ensure openness in government and business, he said.

“Information is the enemy of corruption,” Ashcroft said. “Corruption feeds on secrecy and ignorance.”

Just as open government makes for good government, Ashcroft said, open boardrooms make for open markets.

Ashcroft and his corporatism is the epitomy of corruption. When will these stupid people go away...hopefully in November to never be heard from again. They've done more to this country's laws than anyone invisioned possible. ABB (anyone but Bush)

Can someone please translate what he actually means? Or is just another preemptive attack on democratic issues?

11. Translation: right-wing military industrial corporatists are protected.
We will take the Martha Stewarts of the world and remove them from the right wing path to righteousness.

Or, something like that *LOL*.

Perle yesterday, Ashcroft today...these f*cks have balls like five gallon buckets!

If these guys are spinning this hard now, I shudder to think of what they'll be saying by mid-summer.
