Al Qaeda Claims Responsibility for Launching Missiles on Israel from South Lebanon
Source: CBS News

A military commander and strategic analyst in al Qaeda organization who uses the name “Assad al-Jihad” (Lion of Jihad) claimed in a posting on a pro-al Qaeda website that the executors of the “mysterious” Katyusha mortars fired on Israel during the war on Gaza were members of “al Qaeda Organization in the Lands of the Levant.” The announcement is the first official claim of responsibility made by an al Qaeda senior operative.

There is no proof however that al Qaeda was behind the attack nor is there evidence of the existence of a group with that name in Lebanon. Senior al Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahri and Abu Yahya al Libi had issued statements condemning the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

2. I Have to Think That's Really Unlikely
in any organized way. They're just desperate for support from anti-Israeli Arabs and are trying to make hay out of the Gaza invasion.

5. "CBS News Investigates" gives a lot of credibility to anonymous internet claims.
- military commander
- strategic analyst
- al Qaeda senior operative

It could just as easily be some kid in his bedroom bored from doing homework.

6. Yup - they are called PNACers - dincha get the memo?
.
.
.

Al Qaeda is the Elite/PNAC/Bushgang's bogeyman to keep the USAmericans frightened enough to allow them to rape the treasury, take away their civil liberties, etcetera, etcetera

AND IT'S WORKING SWIMMINGLY

Bush and his gang have buried thousands of fascist sympathizers within government organizations and private businesses important to the Military Industrial Complex

It'll take more than 4 years for President Obama to straighten that out,

and I still fear that if he REALLY tries,

he'll end up like JFK

walk softly Barack . .

please??

Oh, that's right, they already did.

8. Oh, I missed that. Yes, "strategic analysis" is a business term.
Strategic analysis boosts organisational effectiveness

Strategic analysis helps to:

* Anticipate what might happen
* Evaluate how likely it is to happen
* Prepare for it happening

Strategic analysis will lead to clearer more relevant goals, better quality decisions, and a more secure future as you are better prepared for what will happen.

Otherwise known as “external environmental analysis” it is a key step in strategic planning. It is the link between getting your overall direction right and making the right decisions. You will make better decisions if you understand the influences from the outside world to which you might have to respond in the future.

Many funders are reassured by strategic analysis because they know that organisations that are well prepared for their future are more likely to use grants, donations and loans to greatest advantage and to maximise the difference their organisation makes.

The cost of not doing at least a small amount of strategic analysis means missed opportunities (some call this ‘opportunity cost’ – the cost of not doing something). If you don’t do strategic analysis you risk being left behind, missing opportunities for beneficiaries.

Didn't they also claim responsibility for the Australian wildfires started by arsonists?

10. How convenient to have this "discovery" on Israel's election day.
Just like Osama tapes popping up just in time for our 2004 election.

11. Who really cares?
I mean other than Israelis and those who care about them and Israel. The missiles only landed in Israel and no one even died, so who really gives a fuck?

Nothing to pay any attention to. Why, it's almost like some kind of schoolboy lark.
