Obama fans to get better access during Canadian visit
Source: THE CANADIAN PRESS

OTTAWA – You just can't put a lid on all that Obama love.

Police forces planning the U.S. president's visit Thursday have bent to the pressure to provide more access to the celebrity-politician, and will now allow the public to hang out on Parliament Hill.

A source close to the preparations said the final details have not been confirmed, but an area on the Hill will be available to Canadians arriving by foot.

They'll be screened by RCMP officers stationed at different points around the parliamentary precinct, most likely with a scan of their bags. Formal permits for rallies or protests will not be issued.

1. I'm so glad America made this choice. These leaders just love hanging...
out with Obama in the hopes that his global popularity will boost their own. News like this makes me very hopeful.

2. So, You Want To Be a Rock n' Roll Star....
This does very little to quiet Obama's all-surface-no-substance critics. And the bubble could bust too.

3. Quiet the all surface critics? What's that about empty barrels making the most noise? Whether or
not they like Obama's politics, people who see no substance in Obama are idiots. So, let them make their empty barrel noise till the cows come home. No one gives a rap.

4. Got to love this sentence:
"Now, fluttering flags will replace the angry banners and friendly waves will edge out one-finger salutes."

Thanks Chimo!

5. BUT - The USA went to the extent of flying in "The Beast" - the limo
.
.
.

I personally take that as an insult that we Canuks can't guarantee the safety of our southern neighbors

here's the link, and a snip

"An armour-plated, hermetically sealed, blast-proof presidential limo nicknamed "the Beast" has been flown in from Washington."

http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/588926

Are they gonna fly this "beast" all over the World wherever President Obama goes? . . .

well they better . . .

because if they fly it here, the most friendly nation in the World to the United States,

and he goes ANYWHERE else in the World without it

I take that as an insult

and I suspect I am not the only Canadian that feels the same way

"change"

I'm watching . .
