Romneys to Sell Two of Four Homes
Source: Fox News

BOSTON -- Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is selling two of his homes.

A spokesman for the former Massachusetts governor says Romney and his wife, Ann, have put their 9,500-square-foot Deer Valley, Utah ski lodge on the market for $5.25 million, and are also selling the suburban Boston home where they raised their five sons. The 6,400-square-foot Colonial on 2.5 acres in Belmont is expected to fetch about $3 million.

Spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said the Romneys are "downsizing and simplifying."

The Romneys still own a $10 million home on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, N.H. and a $12 million beachfront compound in La Jolla, Calif.

You know it's getting ugly out there when the Romneys have to simpify and downsize to a $10 million home and a $12 million home.

9. It's a better market
than we'll have in two years from now. We're just seeing the beginning of this. If you aren't going to be holding onto a property for the long term, better to sell it now than to wait until prices really bottom out.

5. Romney Speech
Here let me write that Romney stump speech for 2012....
"Barack Obama so wrecked the economy a month in, I was forced to sell 2 of my mansions. Vote for me, working people, I have experienced losing a house, 2 times. I have made cuts, I am down to only 3 yeti steaks a month. I can only afford to skeet shoot with the poor 2 days a week. Now, vote for me, the white guy with hair like a robot, so I can get back behind the curtain and continue to plan how I can screw you over."

8. That's pretty much it. "Seven house" McCain
really hurt the GOP in 2008 and Mitt has learned that lesson.

I am looking forward to the Mitt/Huck/Palin deathmatches in 2012.

18. Bingo. It's politics, not the economy.
Mittster saw how well McLame's nine homes (was that the number?) worked out for his image. He's just getting ready for another run.

4. Lemme call the WAHmbulance...
Although hey, I hear there's going to be a fire at the Romney's place in Wolfeboro.... *grins*

(just kidding, sad as it may be I don't even *know* where Wolfeboro is)

Ugh... this is the one politician I wish would just go away. As if we need an even more religious nutjob anywhere near the Presidency. *sigh*

25. Conservatives won't accept Mitt becuase he is mormon.
Edited on Tue Feb-17-09 12:39 PM by rolltideroll
No joke they actually consider Mormonism a cult, and won;t vote for him. If he was smart he would be running with the Rockefeller republicans, not the evangelical christian vote. On further though, the main strength of our party ( I am assuming we have a lot of democrats on the board, call it a hunch)
We have southern democrats (myself) socialists, LBGT party members,Muslims, and are majority minority. Lots of different viewpoints, lots of exposure to other people. They are so insular that a little thing like disagreement about where Jesus went after he died, which has n9thing to do with policy, would let them exclude an intelligent person. Democrats rarely do this.

26. Yeah if Mittens actually wanted to accomplish something, he could renounce the fundie part of the
coalition and resurrect Rockefeller Republicanism and eschew the knuckle draggism of the current GOP.

But the man has no courage. He'll just go along with the current stupidity, and he is naive enough to think that American fundie Christians will see him as just another one of them.

Poor thing's never been right since the last car trip. If he's still alive at all.
