A Hollywood-style jailbreak in Greece has shaken the country's Justice Ministry, prompting a string of top officials to resign.
Greek authorities found themselves in hot water on Sunday when the most notorious Greek criminal Vassilis Paleocostas and his Albanian accomplice Alket Rizai escaped from one of the country's top-security jails for the second time in less than three years.
The incident took place when a rope ladder was lowered by a helicopter to a prison in Korydallos, near Athens, where the two had been moved to following an earlier breakout from another prison.
A pilot who claimed to have been abducted and forced into taking part in the escape plot said Paleocostas and Rizai were delivered to two getaway cars after they left the prison premises.
The Greek government now is facing a double-trouble as the daring breakaway happened in the presence of prison guards and for a second time.
