Navy cancels ship deployment due to swine flu
Source: Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Navy says it has canceled the deployment of a ship and ordered its entire crew to be treated with anti-viral drugs after a crew member's illness was confirmed as swine flu.

Navy spokesman Lt. Sean Robertson said there are also about 50 suspected cases of the virus from crew members on board the USS Dubuque, which is based in San Diego. He said the crew member with the virus and those suspected of being ill from it have already completed treatment and are recovering.

The ship was scheduled to leave June 1 on a humanitarian mission to the South Pacific. Robertson said the Navy is exploring options to still meet their commitments.

No indication what areas of the South Pacific, but many of the people on remote islands have no immunity to any sort of flu or 'bug', similar to early Native Americans against European 'white' diseases. I assume the 'humanitarian mission' means remote islands like Pitcairn, Puka Puka and such. It is often military ships that supply these islands.

3. In the Military, they can order your to have unsafe immunizations.
Not many people realize that they have basically sold all rights they have to the sovereignity of their own bodies.

In the past, I would have thought nothing of this, but History has proven that the Military doesn't give a damn about the long term well being of their former soldiers. As long as they get a few prime years out of them before they figure out how royally screwed they are.

Know that Baxter recently admitted to mixing live Avian Flu with human flu vaccines makes me want to take my chances on the good odds that I would survive a bad case of the flu.

Nobody can be forced to take an immunization, even though they will try to convince you by misleading statements, or witholding information. We have seen it in School enrollments, but it is not legal. They work hard to get parent to give up their childrens rights to not have foreign agents introduced into their bloodstream.

There is a lot of crap in immunizations, and nobody thinks twice about what long term effects these contaminants can have on people.

6. Yeah -- but the "need of the many" is not to get unsafe drugs pumped into them
Everyone has that need.

9. My doctor went to prison during the first Gulf War
Edited on Wed May-06-09 10:49 AM by proud2BlibKansan
She was an army doctor and refused to give vaccinations she knew were dangerous. So they court martialed her and sent her to prison. They tried to take her medical license away too. But she got to keep it. And she is an outstanding doctor.

We have a couple of dozen people here who can tell them that they are idiots for believing all the hype. They will even ridicule them in the process.
