Governor rallies Democrats in S.J. (grrrrrr)
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/8076152.htm

A few months ago, they were on different sides in the bitter recall campaign. But on Sunday, two days before another election, California's top Democrat, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the state's top Republican, stood together in San Jose -- unified.

<snip>

``The main message of today is looking up here and understanding what you see,'' Feinstein told a crowd of nearly 100 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library in downtown San Jose. ``What you see is major Democratic elected officials in the state of California supporting this Republican governor, saying now is the time we have to pass Propositions 57 and 58.''

An exuberant Schwarzenegger was joined on stage by other prominent Democrats: state Sen. John Vasconcellos, D-San Jose, Secretary of State Kevin Shelly, Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell and San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales as well a broad coalition of local elected and union officials, including Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers union.

Feinstein praised Schwarzenegger as a man ``who has brought a very strong breath of fresh air to this state.''

3. The Democrats in California
just keep building ahnold up. Are they NOT aware what happened there during the recall or are they determined to deliver the election to the chimp. He is nothing but their puppet, are we the only ones who can see this?

5. Keep it up
Keep it up California Democrats, but then don't be "shocked" when it's Governor Schwarzenegger until 2010.

Having said all that, living in Texas I'd trade governors with CA anyday.

Yeah, amke nice with Bushevik Monsters.

Yeah, make nice with that cretin who is so out there now he's dyeing his fucking hair like Raygun, although that is just the Orwellian Cherry on the Busbevik Sundae.

In Imperial Amerika..."bipartisanship" IS another name for date raping.

Emperor-in-Waiting with Freak Hair is also waiting to give the Democrats a little grope.

And, as always, we are lying back and begging to "make it work out one more time" like an abused spouse.

10. I'm voting NO on 57!

57 a $15 billion bond measure that will pay off old debt.

With California's poor bond rating "we" will eventually end up paying almost double that and get nothing in return.

And when I say "we" I mean the working class people. Bond measures are a regressive form of taxation. Wealthy Californians need to start paying their fair share.

According to Warren Buffet he pays more in taxes on his $500,000 home in Ohmaha than his $4 million home in Laguana Hills, CA.

Arnold needs to go after the energy companies (Enron, El Paso Natural Gas, Reliant Energy, Duke Energy) that manipulated the energy market illegally not the working class.

12. I'm voting
no on 57 and 58. Yes on 56. California needs to raise property taxes on businesses and luxury homes. We need to look at other revenue sources. I don't believe in borrowing money for current government activites other than infrastructure.
