USA Today is now "reporting" the Haiti coup accusation. BUT...
... they're reporting it as accusations from an "African-American activist". Think we're not living in a racist country? They're trying to paint the alleged forcible overthrow of a sovereign leader as another Tawana Brawley case. Yes, you see, this is just the ranting of another "African-American activist". Pay it no mind.

Of course, there's no mention of the same story being independently verified by a United States representative (Maxine Waters).

1. Waters isn't the only one verifying the coup
Rangel is also verifying he spoke directly with Aristide this morning and it's true our troops lead him out of Haiti at gunpoint.

2. Dupe, and LBN Rules... locking
Please keep all discussion of the "Aristide Kidnapped?" story consolidated into the original LBN thread, which can be found here:

Dem Now - Aristide confirms to Maxine Waters that he was kidnapped

It would be very helpful for consolidation if you could post any and all links within the original thread.

Also, the LBN Rules require posters to use the published title of linked-to articles as their subject line. In this case, the subject line should have read "Activist claims Aristide kidnapped at gunpoint by U.S. troops."

Thanks!
