2. "but Moore says he does not want to consider running
for political office until he finishes the legal fight to get his chief justice job back."

Sounds really stupid. If your going to run for president what better time then when your between jobs.

3. It's just Rove & Co intimidating him not to run.
If he ran, there'd probably be a hit on him by the end of the day.

5. Me too!
Too bad we can't persuade him to run. All of my nutty relatives in the Bible Belt (no offense to residents of the Bible Belt -- it's just my nutty relatives) would vote for him -- they think whether or not the State can put a ten-commandments statute in the lobby of a gov building to promote their religion is more important than getting screwed by the new Medicare bill.

10. The “constitution party” had me stumped…..
it seems here in California, they are known as the “American Independent Party”…..

http://www.aipca.org/Platform/platform.html

Some of their platform talking points….

The American judiciary must be returned to a Biblical basis, as intended by the Founding Fathers, with a return to strict judicial limitations in accord with the Constitution.

The American Independent Party believes that churches should be allowed to participate in political campaigns.

Welfare is primarily the responsibility of family, church, and charitable organizations

Man's need for such essentials as development of water resources and fire protection are not properly sacrificed to the interests of fish, birds, beasts of the field, and endangered plant species.

On the surface they appear Libertarian with a rather immodest tilt toward theology….just another batch of nutcases…imho…of course…

11. I love the Constitution Party!
They make the Republicans look almost normal.

I'm really hitching my hopes to the stunning rise of the Constitution Party. They are a much better third party to support than the Libertarians, who err by occasionally making sense. These Constitution Party folks are flat-out crazy.

I went to high school and a year of college with one guy who is now a prominent supporter of the Constitution Party in Oregon. I can assure you that he is nuttier than a squirrel turd.

Constitution Party fans take note: Roy Moore was here (Oregon) just last Saturday! He spoke to more than 500 supporters in Portland, who paid forty bucks a pop to see him at the Airport Holiday Inn!

The CP awarded Former Judge Moore their coveted "Profile in Courage" Award.

For an excellent first-hand account, read here: http://oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/steve_duin/index.ssf?/base/news/1078059537279050.xml

Long Live the Constitution Party!

They believe in, among other things:

* The U.S. Constitution established a Republic under God, rather than a democracy.
* Our Republic is a nation governed by a Constitution that is rooted in Biblical law, administered by representatives who are Constitutionally elected by the citizens.
* In a Republic governed by Constitutional law rooted in Biblical law, all Life, Liberty and Property are protected because law rules.
