Pakistan proliferation unpunished so US troops could hunt bin Laden
The United States withheld criticism of Pakistan despite leaks of nuclear secrets to Libya and other countries, so long as US troops could launch a search for Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) in the Islamic state, said a report.

"It's a quid pro quo," a former senior intelligence official told New Yorker reporter Seymour Hersh.

"We're going to get our troops inside Pakistan in return for not forcing (Pakistani leader Pervez) Musharraf to deal with (Pakistan's nuclear research director Abdul Qadeer) Khan," who admitted sharing nuclear secrets with US foes Iran, Libya and North Korea (news - web sites).

Musharraf pardoned Khan, who admitted "full responsibility" for the leaks and denied military involvement in his proliferation.

2. Bush can do a lot of damage between now and November
Musharef is worse than Saddam, yet here's our president kissing his ass.

Just. one. more. reason. that Bush is a criminal.

I don't want to wait till the elections, folks. This guy can do a LOT of damage between now and November.

George Bush is a menace to the world. That is NOT hyperbole.

3. You got that right, babykins.
Americans are so in denial that the bloodshed, conflict and strife the ROTW has experienced could EVER affect them. Maybe THAT'S why 10 fucking MILLION strong "focus group" from all over the globe were in the streets last year screaming, "DO NOT throw a match into that gasoline barrel." Maybe it's just because the ROTW has BEEN THERE, DONE THAT.

The *cabal for which Commander Bunnypants fronts *IS* a serious threat to the survival of homo sapiens and every sentient being on this biosphere. And NO, that is NOT hyperbole.

5. So much for the bushies claims on strength on national security
isn't it believed that nuke technology (rudimentary as it was) in Libya was from ... Pakistan... and that the suspected Nuke capability in Iran is from ... Pakistan.

Demonstrates the trickiness of teh whole situation - that to get at one 'risk' (OBL) one has to let loose of another risk (spread of WMDs through Pakistan).

Oh what happened to their so-called "Moral Certitude" (paging Dick Bennett - if you can pull yourself away from the slot machines... care to explain this bit of moral relativism to us all?)

6. I'd say commercial nuclear proliferation is a WAY bigger problem than some
guy living in a cave somewhere.

Hmm, let's see, selling nuclear weapons to rogue states who might use them to annihilate us ....

versus some guy in a cave who gets his followers to do suicide car bombings.

Which is the bigger threat? Which should our fucking PRESIDENT be concerned about and going after?

Who's in charge of our national security at this point?

Nobody, that's who. Bushco is only interested in his own ass.

We are completely vulnerable right now.
