Another JFK in the White House?
I bet the feepers go into full panic mode when they think about reading this comparison for the next 8 months. I can't wait to see the hysterics over there.

ATLANTA, United States (AFP) - Democrats like to quote John F. Kennedy, especially if they come from Massachusetts, but few can push the parallels with the revered former president as far as John Forbes Kerry.

And its not just the initials.

JFK was Kerry's schoolboy idol and if, as expected, Kerry pretty much seals his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday, he could find himself following his mentor's footsteps all the way to the White House.

At first glance, the similarities between the two men would seem quite startling.

2. Kerry is a good man
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 01:16 PM by Marianne
but since Dean dropped out, we seem to be back to banality, and campaigns without the energy necessary to beat Bush. I do not mean to bash Kerry. I will vote for him if he is the nominee. I just wanted to mention that the energy seems to have disappated since Dean left.

We seem to have gone back to the same ole, same ole and Kerry does not seem to be making much headway--and this is only the beginning--Bush has not spent a thing yet.

I fear for the Democrats if we keep up with type of politically entrenched candidate too used to doing things the congressional, Washington politics way--and that is to play the politics-I do not think it is what people want--what could give us the necessary jolt and energy back again?

3. The only similarities are the initials
The real JFK was not married to an ex-Republican Senator's widow.

Riding this bandwagon looks a bit desperate

4. Ugh!
I don't think the Freepers will do anything but point and laugh at this attempt to associate Kerry with Kennedy.

Can't we do one damn thing original with Kerry??? Does everything have to be copied from elsewhere??
