Legislation Redefining Nudity for Billboards
Legislators redefining `nudity` for billboards

Legislation sponsored by Missouri Sen. Matt Bartle and headed toward a final Senate vote this week defines it as Òany bare exposure of the skin located on a person's body below the armpits and above the knees.Ó

Like a backless formal evening gown, perhaps? A mini-skirt? Tennis shorts?

Or even a man wearing swimming trunks, since the bill makes no distinction for gender?

ÒThat's not my definition,Ó Bartle, a Lee's Summit Republican, said Monday. ÒThis bill is a work in progress. The definition of nudity is going to change.Ó

2. Ooh! a consultancy opportunity for Mullah Omar!

If only he weren't so busy at the moment.. maybe he has a friend who could help poor Bartle out with this important legislation.

6. That's what it's all about
When the substantive issues of the day can only make you look incredibly bad, divert the debate to something irrelevant but distracting. It's the first rule in any lobbying or strategic communications class.

4. I hope that this idiot isn't related to H. Roe Bartle.
If so, what a vindication of Kevin Phillips
latest book... dynastic politics suck.

5. THIS is what our "elected officials" are doing?
My response to the Senator:

"Icki icki poo poo whata whata kow,

Bang Bang yup-yup haka haka zow!"

This related as much to his legislation as it does to the concerns and issues facing the American people. Ye Gods! People are losing their jobs, corporate malfeasance runs rampant, the environment is being ruined every day, people get sick and die and can't afford health care, our tax system is warped, unfair and getting worse... I could go on and on.

THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO?

THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT IN CONGRESS? THAT, HOWARD STERN AND JANET JACKSON'S BREAST?

We MUST take back our government folks. MUST. How can we get the average person off the street to wake up?
