Look at U.S. Iraq Military Deaths - 549 U.S. service members have died

As of Tuesday, March 2, 549 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq (news - web sites), according to the Department of Defense (news - web sites). Of those, 378 died as a result of hostile action and 171 died of non-hostile causes, the department said. snip

Since May 1, when President Bush (news - web sites) declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 411 U.S. soldiers have died — 263 as a result of hostile action and 148 of non-hostile causes, according to the military.

1. actually, i read that its closer to 1200. They are splitting infinities
here with what constitutes 'war dead'. If you were
shot between the eyes, you are war dead. If you died
later, were hurt in combat but didn't eat lead, etc
you aren't 'war dead'. Your dead is a different dead
and they are withholding counting it. The story was
on here I believe some place. I will try and find it.

I have 552 names on my poster of dead -- and I haven't updated in a few days, either. I really do wish they would tell me who has been resurrected.
