Lutz man says he was fired for complaining Obama not U.S. citizen
Source: Tampa Bay Online

According to Cook's resume, he worked for Simtech as a senior systems architect from 2007 until earlier this month.

"Plaintiff seeks to avoid not only court-martial in this country, but also treatment as a war-criminal or terrorist, not eligible even for protection under the Geneva Convention , if he were found to be a merely mercenary soldier in a private army of slaves 'owned' or controlled by an unconstitutional and therefore illegal commander, if he does not ask the question, 'is this order legal?'" Cook's complaint states.

Cook is being represented by California attorney Orly Taitz, who maintains a blog encouraging soldiers to file similar actions, fighting their deployment on the grounds that Obama was not born in the U.S.

Although such claims by "Birthers" have been discredited by several media outlets, the belief that Obama was born in Africa and that his Hawaii birth certificate is illegitimate has taken hold among some segments of the population.

Not having learned his lesson last week, Reserve Major Stefan Cook is trusting Orly Taitz to try and regain the civilian job he lost when he lost his security clearances.

Note, losing one's security clearances is automatic when one files for CO status or sues the DoD.

The article also doesn't note he's a freeper who signed on for Dr. Orly's lawsuit BEFORE volunteering to serve in Afganistan.

31. I agree. If he was fired for trying to start a union
I would have more sympathy for him.

OTOH simply filing a lawsuit against an employer out of pure spite, it would be reasonable to expect retaliation. As he's got significantly less firepower than his opponent, he should haven't picked the fight knowing that.

5. Geeze
this act is getting old. Who remembers when McGovern was running for President and it was suddenly 'revealed' his VP (Eagleton) has been treated for depression or something related to mental illness. It was all over but the shouting for George at that point.
Fast forward 40 years, do these 'birthers' REALLY believe a scam like fake birth certificate could be perpetrated and NOT DISCOVERED by the GOP prior to the election?
Give us a fuckin' break and SHUT UP ALREADY about the birth certificate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13. The man is a security liability
This is all on him, once he started this charade he was putting everything on the line. He palyed the game and he lost, and it's only going to get worse.

If he tries to sue the DoD he's a marked man and no contractor doing business with the government will hire him. Besides, DoD decides who they give security clearances to and who they take them away from.

24. He wasn't fired for his political views....
He signed on for Dr. Orly's case in Feb., and volunteered to deploy as a reservist in May. In July he filed his lawsuit against Obama, even though as a reservist who volunteered for deployment, he could have withdrawn up to one day before deployment.

In his suit against the Obama and the Army, he asked for CO status. CO status and the lawsuit are automatic revocation of security clearances.

His civilian job was that of a defense contractor. The minute the clearances were pulled, his employer did not have a position for him. And was under no obligation to place him in a non-secure position.

Bottom line, his own actions cost him his job. There was no firing involved.

33. Where did you get the idea that being a CO results in a revoked
clearance? Same for filing a lawsuit. ICD 704 says no such thing and it covers SCI access.

32. I'll wager Major Cook won't be on the short list for Army officer promotions
anytime soon. I hope he'll be fast-tracked out of service and decommissioned ASAP.

I wouldn't want to be in a combat situation having to take orders from a major nutcase like that. As a grunt, I'd be looking for some fragging material before he gets the whole company wiped out from his pure imcompetence in a wartime situation.

You took an oath in the military to serve your commander-in-chief. You violated that oath, what do you expect is gonna happen next?

40. Which reminds that there was
another ret military(some kind of general) who was filing with the dentist-lawyer and there were some comments below the article from Soldiers who had served under him who they were mccain voters but they didn't take kindly at all to the general's birther stance.

I wish I had saved those comments..they were priceless!

38. You need to get the Whole story...
He volunteered in May to go to Afghanistan and then in June or July says he doesn't want to go because Pres Obama wasn't born where his birth certificate said he was..

So they said..okay you don't have to go..ya volunteered you dumbshit..but, woe is him 'cause then he lost his security clearance on his civilian defense contractor's job because he's screwing around with the US military.

And, it's not "political views"..they have their views but they can't have their own "facts".

It's a distraction that the corporatewhores don't want to let go.
