Prostitutes bound and thrown to crocs drowned: police

Two Thai prositutes who were bound and thrown from a bridge into crocodile waters in the Northern Territory were only reported missing yesterday, police said today.

Northern Territory Police today released photographs of the victims - Somjai Insamnan, 27, and Phuangsri Kroksamrang, 58, whose bodies were pulled from the Adelaide River yesterday.

The two women were prostitutes and long-time residents of the NT, say police.

All labor is a commodity in this system and we applaud the people who treat it that way, as if their view were somehow pure.

Sex is the absolute sure thing a woman has to sell, and I think it pisses men off that women have anything we can take to market in the worst market.

As for making it easy to kill, anyone demeaned by law and society is easy to kill. Sex has nothing to do with it. It's just that we choose to treat women in the sex industry as garbage. THAT's what makes it easy to kill them.

It isn't what they do. It's what WE do.

Supt Hofer would not comment on the vehicle but said police appealed for witnesses as they pieced together the women's final movements.
