'Traficant Release Night' Canceled
Source: Associated Press

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- A minor league baseball team in Ohio is scrapping a promotion it had planned for the day former U.S. Rep. James Traficant is to be released from prison.

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers in Youngstown said they've canceled their "Traficant Release Night" promotion after being flooded with complaints.

An official stated the event wasn't supposed to be a celebration of Traficant's release? Then what was it supposed to be, then??

14. I lived right next door to his district.
I liked the guy too, met him personally, told it as he saw it and didnt give a damn what anyone thought. Thats why the powers to be in his own party hated him. He didnt "play along". However he was also crooked. What a shame.
