1. "supplying oil to Iraq"
Unintentional irony?
Let's send some refrigerators to Antarctica.
Oddly enough, Saudi Arabia does have a shortage of sand.

2. Turkey???
I thought they were not cooperative when we wanted to send in ground forces through turkey. Anyone know how much oil there is in Kurdish dominated Northern Iraq?

Israel got a deal to supply fuel to Iraq too, via Jordan.
Syria is not our buddy.

On the other side they are trying to ship oil out
through the tanker terminal in the Gulf, and working
on deals to move it through Iran and Kuwait. I believe
SA is still refusing to help with the oil.

I would guess this fuel is for the Northern part of the
country, where things are still quite messy.

Modern US military equipment is very fuel inefficient.
I was reading somewhere that we burned as much fuel in the
three weeks of the recent war as was used by all sides in all
of WWII. That is the real reason for all the stress about
oil BTW, it's not the SUVs so much as the tanks and helicopters
and jet warplanes. Modern war machines don't run without great
big quantities of oil, staggering quantities, and they are just
expensive and highly vulnerable junk without it.
