Kerry Leads Bush, 50 Percent to 43 Percent, in Poll (Update1)
March 12 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry widened his lead over President George W. Bush to 7 percentage points with eight months to go before the election, according to a nationwide poll by American Research Group.
Kerry, a U.S. senator from Massachusetts, garnered the support of 50 percent of those polled compared with 43 percent for Bush, a Republican. Seven percent of respondents were undecided, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

The American Research Group results are based on 770 telephone interviews with registered voters in the continental United States conducted March 9 to March 11. The group did not disclose where it contacted respondents.
...
When independent candidate and consumer advocate Ralph Nader was added to the American Research Group ballot, he siphoned 2 percentage points from Kerry and 1 from Bush, leading to a 48 percent to 42 percent edge for Kerry, with Nader at 2 percent and 8 percent undecided. Nader drew some support from Bush among independent voters, the organization said.

2. 43% seems high for Bush
doesn't it? With all the information out there now, how can there be that many who support him?

3. I imagine about 40% will vote for him regardless
Unless they have another conservative to vote for. Then Bush may fall below 40%.

Come on Pat Buchanan! This is your year!

15. Weird isn't it ?
Some are still in denial I suppose and there will always be a hard core of the rich & selfish and various right-wing hardliners who will support him no matter what. But still with the big swing in public opinion we've seen over the past few months its hard to imagine that Bush will not sink even lower no matter how many 100s of millions of corporate money he has. :)

5. IMHO, a lot of soft Repugs are unhappy with Bush and looking
at who Kerry picks as his running mate. Again in my opinion, a Clark or Edwards would pick up a lot of the soft Repugs.

6. James Zogby asking bushers to pull racist latest ad...
Zogby states that when the ad mentions 'Kerry will not stop terrorists.' a photo of a dark skin young mideasterner appears instead of using a photo of Osama.

9. With his use of the terrorist angle
being the only straw * can grasp; I'm concerned that "terrorist attacks" may occur here, in an effort to boost his chances for reselection.

11. Today at our peace vigil for the soldiers dead and wounded
a man came up to us and yelled "FUCK YOU AND FUCK OSAMA BIN LADEN".
Thats the mentality of someone who would vote for Bu$h. He didnt even realize we were having a peace vigil for the dead soldiers.
Thats the mentality of some people out there.

13. A peace vigil is very threatening to these people
Narrow minded ignorance is what allowed chimp to get away with this
illegal occupation.
