Kerry strikes back at Bush on ads
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/03/12/main/

<snip>One of Bush's two ads rolled out Thursday, called "100 Days," is his first TV commercial directly attacking Kerry.

It says Kerry plans to "raise taxes by at least $900 billion" and weaken the Patriot Act "used to arrest terrorists and protect America."

The ad also says Kerry "wanted to delay defending America until the United Nations approved." (Full story)

Kerry's ad responds, "Once again, George Bush is misleading America. John Kerry has never called for a $900 billion dollar tax increase. He wants to cut taxes for the middle class. Doesn't America deserve more from its president than misleading negative ads? John Kerry will crack down on the export of American jobs, get health care costs under control, and cut the deficit."

1. GO KERRY GO!!!
So far, so good. He has learned from the mistakes made by Gore - of thinking his opponent was 'an OK guy'. Nothing (or very little) could be further from the truth!!!!

GO KERRY GO!!!!

Kerry advisers say part of his strategy is to show he is a candidate who won't back down. They point to an incident this week in which he was caught, in what appeared to be an unguarded moment, calling those who are attacking him "the most crooked, you know, lying group of people I've ever seen." (Full story)

The Bush campaign called for an apology, but Kerry refused, saying he stands by his comments about a Republican "attack machine." (The Morning Grind: He started it!)

Front and center on his Web site Friday were the words "No apologies for Republican attack squad."

2. We have to point out that the Republican-controlled House and Senate
will behave just as they say the Dems behave - obstructing any and every legislative effort by Kerry and his administration.

Do we really believe that having Kerry win alone will bring about any change? The best we could hope for (if the House and Senate remain in Repuke control) is the kind of legislative stagnation that Rush pointed out during the impeachment hearings. As the House and Senate remained bogged down (controlled by Repukes!), the economy thrived. Kinda screwed up Rush's point. A do-nothing Repuke Congress was actually helping the economy, and Rush was pointing it out!

4. The Dems haven't been obstructive enough with
the Repukes. Hopefully Kerry win win big enough to have a mandate and those centrist types will crossover. If not we may have to wait until mid term elections.

3. The article aslo says...
that Kerry has a website D-bunker that counters the ads. I can't seem to find the link for it though. Anyone have it?
