WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Attorney General John Ashcroft remained in intensive care Thursday, and aides said he was gradually recovering from gall bladder surgery performed two days ago.

Physicians at George Washington Medical Center have given no indication when Ashcroft, 61, will be able to go home, but aides said he was not expected to return to work next week.

No appointments are being made for the attorney general for at least the next couple of weeks. snip

With the enzymes trapped inside the pancreas, the gland becomes inflamed, causing excruciating pain.

don't say anything at all," don't 'ya?

2. Pain, pain, pain......
He should be sent to Guantanamo - for treatment by their fine medical staff. Heck, he can even choose his accomodations.

The staff of medical professionals at Guantanamo are possibly his best hope - I'm gonna write my representatives - HE DESERVES ONLY THE BEST!!!!

4. Am I the only one whose first reaction
was to think that we should pray for him? He should have been out of IC by now.

8. When Kerry takes over in 2005 should he pardon Ashcroft?
What do you think? Pardon or prison?

7. Okay Michelle, I am really really sorry Mr. Ashcroft is sick. Really
I hope he gets well. But I hope his illness causes him to resign.

Now, do I get the Republican stamp of approval for my behavior? I know
how you guys love to instruct us about being "civil" etc., like when it was pointed out
to John Kerry that he was not acting very "Presidential". He sure needs advice
from the party of the worst, most dishonest, most inept President ever.
Thanks!!!!

10. In other news
Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

Sorry, but I think that we don't need new threads in LBN until something substantially new happens on this topic.
