WP: White House Marks Invasion Anniversary
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A56474-2004Mar13.html

(snip)

The White House will mark the anniversary of invading Iraq, which comes this Friday, with a weeklong media blitz designed to tie the overthrow of Saddam Hussein to the global war on terrorism.

The message is crucial to President Bush's reelection campaign, which has tried to shift the focus of the race from troublesome issues such as the economy to his biggest strength in polls -- his handling of the aftermath of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Bush's presumed opponent, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), is responding with events this week focusing on troops and veterans in West Virginia and other battleground states. Kerry will say that Bush has shortchanged soldiers and their families in a time of war. Retired Army Gen. Wesley K. Clark, who lost his bid for the Democratic nomination, will speak for Kerry in Ohio.

Can't wait. :eyes: If he is stupid enough to prove once again what a big liar he is, the better for Kerry and us Democrats.

6. And Clark, too.
Edited on Sun Mar-14-04 12:28 AM by cosmokramer
Clark is going to make Bush look like the girly man he is when he stumps for Kerry in Ohio this week.

Bush has been to Ohio A LOT, and sending Clark (a guy who has forgotten more about national security than George Bush will ever learn) to combat this fluff is a brilliant move.

Edit: Typo

7. He should lead a "victory parade" in downtown Baghdad
Then people would get a change to "throw flowers" at him and their children could "sing songs" in his honor.

8. Let Bu$h walk naked thru the streets of Baghdad
Perle, Wolfowitz, Bremer, Kristol, Rummy, Rice, Powell..let them all walk thru the streets of Baghdad with no escort. That would be a perfect parade.
In fact, let them walk through any city in the world without an escort. Our soldiers ride in inadequate Humvees every day and are blown to bits, while the ruling elite of Washington have bodyguards surrounding them when they hold their dicks to piss.

9. a weeklong media blitz eh?
Edited on Sun Mar-14-04 05:58 AM by Marianne
celebrating the myriads of lies he told in order to murder thousands of innocent people.

There is nothing to celebrate here--I will never forget he lied, he invaded and dropped mega bombs, each one of the thousands he dropped was flying on this pathetic coward's lies.

This man deserves to be prosecuted for murder, for the war crimes he has committed--he has no right to force on the American people who most likely would be repulsed at a Bush media blitz to celebrate death and destruction-- a celebration of his "war presidency", to glorify his lies and to lie more to the American people with this kind of cheap shit.

He is a prick, an evil prick who thinks if the American people get blitzed with more PR lies they will laud him as a great war president and vote for him. Who knows--I saw grown men and women turn into absolute, non reasonable, vengeful monsters when prodded by Bush's appeals to their reptillian brains.

This is shamefully sad. This was once a country that had, at least, the myth and the ideology that it was an honorable country. It is no longer.

We have sitting in our house, a despicable coward of a man, and his fat assed do nothing insipid leech of a wife, whose thugs had to insert him in the White House because he would not allow all the votes to be counted--a little coward who ran--and then later sold pictures of himself running away from ground zero for one hundred fifty dollars apiece. He is a despicable, stupid man and I hope there are loud protesters during this PR "blitz" that will tell the world about the lies and the US war criminal's invasion and murders of ten thousand innocents.

Who can feel good about invading a country on lies, killing ten thousands of innocents? No one but George and he is trying to see to it that the PR "blitz" makes everyone else in the country feel good about their names being used to kill innocent people.

The stupid prick has the arrogance to force us to celebrate with a "blitz" for an entire week -- may he get protested and may it flop and may it be reported by the newspapers that it was a huge flop. May the press express dismay at this crass attempt of a stupid fascist of a man who thinks he can fool the people and lie his way into the presidency with this kind of shit.
