Tens of thousands rally across nation to denounce Assembly action(S.Korea)
"Protest against the impeachment of President Roh Moo-hyun is spreading nationwide among civic groups and voters.

Claiming the impeachment was a coup d'etat by parliament, civic groups insist they will hold candle-light rallies every evening in Gwanghwamun, downtown Seoul, until the Constitutional Court annuls the impeachment."

-snip---- more here: Korea Herald

and here's a picture (with apologies to the 56kers)

2. And notice this from the article:
"About 70,000 people holding candles silently walked past City Hall and along the main road leading to Gyeongbok Palace, while about 7,000 riot police looked on. The rally began at 6 p.m. and finished by midnight without any clashes. No arrests or injuries were reported."

Don't tell John Timoney!!!
