Israeli Helicopters Hit Gaza After Port Bombings

Mar 14, 8:06 pm ET

By Nidal al-Mughrabi
GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli helicopter gunships struck two metal foundries in the Gaza Strip on Monday, hours after two local Palestinian militants killed 10 people in a suicide attack on Israel's second-biggest port.

Palestinian witnesses said one man was wounded when at least 10 missiles slammed into foundries in the Gaza City districts of Sheikh Radwan and Zeitoun, both Islamic militant bastions.

The Israeli military, whose helicopters have often hit leaders of a more than three-year-old Palestinian revolt in Gaza and the West Bank, said the foundries were used to arm Hamas. The Islamic militant group did not immediately comment.

Hamas and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction, jointly claimed responsibility for Sunday's double suicide bombing at Afula port that killed 10 people and wounded at least 20 others.

1. Uh, Yeah....all the FOUNDRIES do is arm Hamas??
That's it, nothing more. OK

They did not make essentials for life in Palestine?? They were not one of the few sources of industry left in Palestine? One of the few sources of JOBS left in Palestine??

What, were the metal chips used in cluster bombs? Did they provide casings (links please)......what....???

PLEASE don't flame me, as hubby is Jewish- he can get sensitive - take over keyboard and flame Zionist sympathizers.
TRULY Jewish people understand oppression and extermination - that may be why 60+ percent are against these evil men in power, and are hoping for a solution that allows the sharing of power, and of the land that is shared in their Religious History.

2. That's too bad, but....
If the people in The Egyptian...errr..I mean Jordanian....errr..I mean, the "occupied" territories would start coughing up terrorists and terrorists leaders so some semblance of a peace process could begin working, Israel wouldn't have to go root them out.

If the Israelis know where the murderers are, wouldn't you think the people around the terrorists would? If the Palestinians truley want to coexist with Israel (which they don't) and become a state, they need to hold some responsibility.

Harboring terrorists and their activities aren't exactly responsible.

Some of these articles make it sound like Sharon woke up in the morning, rubbed his eyes, picked up the phone, and ordered his military to off a few Palestinians or bomb a few factories for fun.

The Palestinians, once again, blew up 10 completely innocent people. What would the Palestinians expect in response? A bouquet of flowers and thank you card?

3. Don't know if you are tombstoned yet, but
get a clue....wake out of your propaganda stupor. Try 'Flashpoints' or Democracy Now on Pacifica. They have some of the few journalists willing to venture into the situation...as all are targeted, and many killed.
If you are part of the fundamentalist 'Armageddon lobby' it is probably too late for you. sad.
I hope you take the little blue pill of reality.
