State Department updates bin Laden's Most Wanted photo for age, changes in facial hair

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. State Department has updated its 1998 file photo of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, digitally altering it to account for a decade of age and possible changes in his facial hair.

There is a $25 million bounty on bin Laden's head for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya. Bin Laden is now 52. And he is believed to be hiding in the lawless Pakistan frontier bordering Afghanistan, though his exact whereabouts have been unknown since late 2001, when he and a small contingent of body guards walked out of the Tora Bora mountains, evading air strikes and U.S. special forces and Afghan militias,

It has to be...dead men don't look that good.
Anyways...that first picture is not anywhere as bad as he was looking in the last known photographs.
He was a lot skinnier/gaunt and more grey in the complexion, beard and hair.
Nor do devout Islamic men cut their beards......
especially dead ones.

and i was hoping to see an old DU poster from back in the day, who used to have a sig with like 15 difference faces of "osama" that had popped up in the media over the years. very clearly demonstrating that the images were not all of the same guy. i remember something about the noses being compared, and it was obvious that the images had either been distorted, morphed, or were in no way all of the same guy.
