Let's pray, or, if you'd rather send positive vibes to those down there already, and those who are being brave and giving of themselves to go try and help the people of Haiti. There are continuing earthquakes, as I saw Puerto Rico just had a 3.5 quake about 40 minutes ago, and conditions remain dangerous for the region.

4. I know how startled I was when a 1.8 hit in Cali when I was there for a few months, and it hit

right below the town I was in, and to have a 7.0 hit a few miles away, then, to have a 4.7 (along with the 5-something the other day) hit today would be terribly traumatic and make you think it was going to be like the 7.0 again...... I cannot even imagine and then to agree to go and help the region - what brave people.

7. goodness, so true. even w/o earthquakes they've got it bad. Earthquakes just seal the deal.

These are the kinds of events that prove one's humanity in giving to those in desperate and truly life-and-death situations, or, leads one to say 'well, they got this because of a deal with the devil".

2. Oh, dear. I heard an MSNBC reporter say she has seen damage in outlying

areas, too. The news seems to be focusing on Port au Prince. This reporter had to enter the DR and work her way into Haiti from there, and she was surprised at the collapsed roofs, etc., en route.

8. a 7 sure can do some widespread damage. I just checked the map & 5 earthquakes have hit the 50 mile

area around the capital in the past 72 hours since the initial quake that are at least a 4.4 on the scale. Just terrifying for them, even up to a few hours ago when this newest one hit 35 miles from the capital.

but I will send my heartfelt hope that this disaster is on the way to being contained. I don't know about the continuing earthquakes though --- it must be really tough down there.

9. Also, another 5.6 earthquake in Venezuela today... Don't tell Pat Robertson!

He'll say this one happened because we didn't follow up on his earlier "holy" advice to set up a hit on Chavez! :mad:
