Bin Laden deplores climate change
Source: al jazeera

Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaeda leader, has condemned the US and other industrial economies, holding them responsible for the phenomenon of climate change.

In an audio tape obtained by Al Jazeera, bin Laden criticised George Bush, the former US president, for rejecting the Kyoto pact and condemned global corporations.

"This is a message to the whole world about those responsible for climate change and its repercussions - whether intentionally or unintentionally - and about the action we must take," bin Laden said.

"Speaking about climate change is not a matter of intellectual luxury - the phenomenon is an actual fact."

But...but...if it was on TV and they said it was true, it MUST be true!

No use screaming against the cacophony.

And 99.5% ask no questions and eat it up, internalizing it.

I wonder how much slush money the Denial Industry slipped the Bushie Intel Community to slip that one in, or if they did it pro bono?

It is as worthwhile being a skeptic today as it must have been in 1934 Germany.

At least there's a lot less violence.

11. lol . About the audio tape I have a guess.
He doesn't buy a video camera because he is well aware of the environmental impacts of the production process. He knows that all these gadgets generate more damage in the making than in the later use.
So he has decided to use his 80's taperecorder til it falls apart. A responsible use of resources, dontcha think? I only hope he uses rechargeable batteries in recording his messages.
I know, as the new climate posterboy he should use a solar panel, but since that is easily detectable by the drones you can't really blame him for not doing so.

36. But like the WWE, it works, has worked for a long time, and will apparently keep working
Bin Laden is probably dead, anyway. Shortly before her death (make of that what you will) she clearly stated to David Frost, the someone (a Pakistani Colonel, I believe, but Google it for yourself it's probably still hiding in plain sight) was "the man who killed Bin Laden".

But back on topic: why would they stop? To 99.5% (or higher) of the American Subject Populace that IS the voice of Bin Laden.

As the rules of advertising, psychology, and marketing clearly show, somewhere in thousands (perhaps millions) of subconscious-es the negative connotation has been formed.

When next they hear of anthropocentric climate change, warming or of course the massively funded PR-operation to delegitimize climate science, it will be viewed through the subconscious filter that Bin Laden WANTS them to believe the "hoax", which, without it ever touching their conscious minds, will influence it.

And THAT is how all advertising, PR, and Corporate "synergies" work at bottom.

If the programming starts to fade, just shock 'em again with a new PsyOp to erase the deviant programming.

If one considers the whole Comedy of Underpants Man, of which the Phony Bin Laden Tape is merely the final piece, this was a classic behaviorist systemwide shock to the American Subject Populace.

Goebbels never had ANYTHING so sophisticated to work with as the Bushie Intel/Corporate fusion does.

Don't look for this to stop working anytime soon, nor for 99.5% of people (or higher) to swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Think about it: it took the Russians 50 years or more to figure out that everything on Soviet TV was a lie, and they were a bunch of hamfisted amatuers compared to the Bushies.

How long will it take us, then? Not in our lifetimes will we see this repeated PsyOp fail in any significant way. Sorry, but that's how I see it.

49. No doubt the CIA will keep the populace fearful with new "realities" every day.
Just like in the 50s-80s with the overblown "Cold War" mess. In fact, since this sect is more mysterious and diplomatically isolated than the U.S.S.R was, it's probably far easier to create them and N. Korea as enemies.

This latest instance with UBL a widely known Democratic concern . . . it's like the "Black Russian" moment from Naked Gun 2 1/2; bad, even for them.

what difference who is telling me? that is simply a ridiculous statement. you really don't assign value to a speaker? if cheney told you to conserve water, would you want to say great or go fuck yourself, cheney. me, I'd tell him to go fuck himself. he's not telling me anything I don't already know. same thing. obl has nothing to say of value to me. neither does cheney.

I already understand the issues of global warming. to have obl give the U.S. lessons about behavior is a joke.

but, in any case, if I want to tell obl to go fuck himself, I will. it has nothing to do with issues of capitalism. it has to do with him being a worthless piece of shit whose death would be a good thing for this world.... along with some capitalists I can think of, too, but that really wasn't the issue in this thread.

but thank you for your opinion.

When Seeing and Hearing Isn't Believing
By William M. Arkin
Special to washingtonpost.com
Monday, Feb. 1, 1999

"Gentlemen! We have called you together to inform you that we are going to overthrow the United States government."

So begins a statement being delivered by Gen. Carl W. Steiner, former Commander-in-chief, U.S. Special Operations Command. At least the voice sounds amazingly like him.

But it is not Steiner. It is the result of voice "morphing" technology developed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

By taking just a 10-minute digital recording of Steiner's voice, scientist George Papcun is able, in near real time, to clone speech patterns and develop an accurate facsimile. Steiner was so impressed, he asked for a copy of the tape.

The al-Qaida leader also targeted the U.S. economy in the recording, calling for a boycott of American products and an end to the dollar's domination as a world currency.

"We should stop dealings with the dollar and get rid of it as soon as possible," he said. "I know that this has great consequences and grave ramifications, but it is the only means to liberate humanity from slavery and dependence on America."
