Fastow's Help May Produce More Enron Charges -U.S.
HOUSTON (Reuters) - Former Enron Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow's cooperation is "likely to bear additional fruit," federal prosecutors wrote in a filing made public on Monday that urges the judge sentencing his wife to stick to a five-month prison deal.

SNIP

Andrew Fastow's cooperation is critical to this investigation," the papers say.

They credit his assistance in bringing indictments earlier this year against former Chief Executive Officer Jeff Skilling and former Chief Accounting Officer Rick Causey. Both men have pleaded not guilty.

"Moreover, Andrew Fastow's cooperation is ongoing and likely to bear additional fruit," the papers say, without elaborating.

1. There is little doubt that Lay will be offered up
The question is, will he then turn the heat up on his administration friends in order to procure his GOOJF card?

2. There's only one man I'm waiting to hear about......
and that's Ken Lay. I was standing in line at the grocery store recently, and right behind me were two ladies talking about Martha Stewart. They were both commenting on how she's headed for prison, but what about Ken Lay? What rock is he hiding under?

That's what I'd like to know, too. As they continue to round up the Enron Demolition Derby and indict one after another, the obvious question will be...

when is it Ken's turn?

3. not before november
Call me cynical, but I just don't see any way that they'd put Lay on trial before the elections. That's all W needs is for us to be able to drag yet another skeleton out of his walk-in closet.
