KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - Leaders of this longtime gay-friendly city are expected to pass resolutions Tuesday that would support same-sex marriages and decry President Bush's proposed constitutional amendment banning the unions.

The measures would be largely symbolic because Florida law allows only counties - not municipalities - to issue marriage licenses.
