"Bush's Brain" Looks at Presidential Advisor
Edited on Tue Mar-16-04 04:16 PM by dave29
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- "Bush's Brain" has been cracked open and exposed for the world to see.

The documentary, based on the book of the same name about presidential adviser Karl Rove, had been kept tightly under wraps before making its world premiere to a packed theater at the South by Southwest film festival.

"Nobody knows who this guy is or how critical he was to the ascension of George Bush," said co-director Michael Paradies Shoob. "But they'll find out who he is and it will allow people to deconstruct the activities of this administration."

snip

Rove declined several interview requests from the filmmakers; he also declined to return calls for comment on the film from The Associated Press.

But he did send a 14-page e-mail to The Dallas Morning News' Austin bureau chief Wayne Slater, co-author of "Bush's Brain," after reading an advance copy of the book that somehow got out before its 2003 release. (Hence the filmmakers' apprehension about letting anyone see the documentary too early.)

Sounds like good stuff. :)

2. Despite the hype, I've always felt this guy is so over-rated.
His stumbles are numerous.

7. I think saurov
acts under the belief that all Americans R as dim-witted as his puppet. Everything he does is arrogant and condescending. That is his great mistake.

6. He controls everything in the Bush* administration and has
been screwing up a lot. Everything from the arsenic to the war in Iraq and lately in redefining manufacturing jobs to include burger flipping. Everything is scripted by him including all the speeches by admin. "officials". The treasury dept, labor dept, EPA, Interior, even Powell and lies about WMDs. Is it possible that many people are so stupid all at one time? Its all political and he runs it-and he is losing ground...

4. it would be nice if this had a wide distribution
somehow - but this paragraph tends to give the opposite impression

Shoob hopes that since it's an election year, his film will prompt voters to scrutinize Bush's presidency. There are no plans yet for "Bush's Brain" to appear in theaters or on television, though.

8. KKKarl, like most conservative blow-hards,
has a weakness. His closed mind and "faith" tends to push him into it. He eventually comes to believe his own bullshit. After all, conservatives are always right, no matter if they pulled the idea out of their ass or actually had a few brain cells fire in sequence. They couldn't possibly be wrong, since gawHAWduhUH is on their side.
