This ain't the first time that a California government has been sued to blame for a crime. In 2008, the widow of a murder victim sued San Francisco for the man's death. Danielle Bologna blamed San Francisco's sanctuary city policy for allowing suspect Edwin Ramos to murder her husband Tony and two sons. However, a judge
dismissed Danielle's lawsuit, saying that cities "generally are not liable for failing to protect individuals against crime."
