Shooting suspect may have had 9/11 conspiracy

WASHINGTON – There are emerging signs that the suspect in a Pentagon subway station shooting may have harbored resentment for the military and had doubts about the facts behind the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The suspect, John Patrick Bedell, died after exchanging gunfire with two police officers.

In an Internet posting, a user named JPatrickBedell wrote he was determined to see justice for the 1991 death of a Marine in California. The death was ruled a suicide but has long been the source of coverup theories. The writer said the case would be a step toward revealing the truth behind 9/11.

The user also railed against enforcement of marijuana laws.

The screen name can be linked to the suspect in Thursday's attack through documents about a marijuana arrest that were posted on the site, which match the date of birth of the shooter and official court records available online.

There's obviously been manipulation of the facts by the government after the fact.
I don't know how much of it was simply LIHOP or what but the "9/11 commission" felt like the warren commission... just a cover.

41. I was talking to a fellow here in Houston.

"Fellow" as in "a doctor getting additional training in practice and research." He's the significant other of one of my wife's colleagues.

Anyway, after having talked to him at social events for a few years a foreign faculty member brought up 9/11. It turns out this guy was doing his residency in a hospital in NYC in the fall 2001. He said it was creepy: on 9/11 they were ordered on duty and told to prepare for massive numbers of casualties. They got some minor stuff early, and then pretty much nothing. All those seriously injured were trapped or routed to the nearest facility (his was something like #2 or #3 for distance).

However, his father worked at the Pentagon and was outside when the plane hit there. He told his son that he watched it come in. I got it third hand, you get it fourth hand--but you apparently need video because people aren't trustworthy (as though video would be, since lots of people have access to it and could alter it. esp. the crappy quality video we get on the Net). However, it's enough for me: Most father's don't lie to their sons, and this guy had no reason to lie since a bunch of linguists is hardly opinion leaders. Moreover, we'd known about his father's status in the DOD for a while but we didn't know where his office was.

40. You really need education as to how a no-fly zone works.

An aircraft going into restricted airspace does not instantly translate to "blowing it out of the sky." We would be accidentally killing thousands of people a year if that were the case. And no, 35 minutes after the first impact isn't time to close everything and have troops on the streets when you consider the human element of time needed to realize that it wasn't an accident, time to mentally work through the consequences of that, time to talk to the right people, issue orders, get roadblocks set up, fuel aircraft, get them launched and oriented...

Don't operate under the belief that the military is some hair-trigger just waiting to be pulled and seconds later paratroopers are falling out of the sky.

23. Pentagon Shooter Dead, Posted Anti-Government Rantings Before Attack

The gunman who charged into one of the Pentagon's main entrances and opened fire has died from gunshot wounds to the head and authorities are looking into his recent rants against the government as a potential motive.

John Patrick Bedell, 36, died at the hospital Thursday night after Pentagon police returned fire. Police told ABC News that the two police officers wounded in the shooting have been released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries. They are now on administrative leave pending the investigation of the incident, police said.

The attack seems to be another suicide mission aimed at the government. While police have said they are not certain of a motive, they are investigating Internet postings in which Bedell wrote and recorded audio expressing his anger towards the government.
