Alleged leader of Islamist group linked to Madrid bombs lives in UK
The Guardian

Thursday March 18, 2004

An alleged leader of a radical Islamist group from Morocco which has been connected to both last week's Madrid bombings and suicide attacks in Casablanca last May is living in Britain, according to intelligence sources.

Mohammed al-Gerbouzi has shaken off repeated requests from Moroccan authorities who want to extradite him to face charges related to the 44 deaths caused by the Casablanca bombings. He has been based in Britain for 16 years.

Mr al-Gerbouzi, now a British citizen, is widely reported to be one of the leaders of the Group of Islamic Combatants of Morocco, one of the main suspects in the Madrid bombings, according to the newspaper El País yesterday.

Whitehall sources said, however, that though they were aware the Moroccan authorities "take exception" to him, Britain has not been presented with sufficient evidence that he was involved in the Casablanca or Madrid bombings.

Gee, so does this mean England is harboring terrorists? Since all of the terrorists involved in last weeks attack in Spain come from Morocco and their leader lives in England, I say lets invade Syria, that will teach them a lesson. :sarcasm off:

1. No Syrian invasion planned
There is more oil in Venezuela, so they are next on the list.Syria will just have to wait it's turn.

4. Afghanistan was the first country we invaded and they...
...don't have oil either. Syria's on the list...and it's getting mighty crowded at the top.

6. Afghanistan is a country that had no defenses
It was simple to go in and take that country over. It gave all the sheeple a warm fuzzy feeling inside because dumbass was "doing something about terror".

5. We should just make Israel the 51st State
and get it over with.

At least then they would have to pay US taxes. They get billions of our money every year, tax free. What a deal.

7. Smart move!
> We should just make Israel the 51st State and get it over with.

It would also allow the best of both worlds for politicians:
Not only would any critics be "Un-American, liberty-hating terr'ists"
but the trump card comes out with "... and, dang it, they're Anti-Semitic!"

Woo-hoo - win-win situation!

8. Would the situation be better if Israel traded places with Ireland?
The counties are about the same size. . . It would make some Brits happy and most all Arabs.

9. Nah, Israel can't brew Guiness worth a damn ...
Besides, it's taken us several hundred years to learn to live together.
Shame to quit now, just when all that work is paying off ... no, we'll
stick with Ireland please (though maybe Eire would vote differently?)

(If you really want a laugh, have a look into the fences that have been
going up around the so-called "Jewish zones" in cities like London over
the last few years. I'm wondering when they'll "have" to expand and
take over the adjoining territory ...)
