Canadian cities face terrorist threat: Cellucci
LONDON, ONT. - Montreal, Toronto or Windsor could be the target of terrorist attacks, U.S. Ambassador Paul Cellucci warned.

The train bombs in Madrid that killed 201 people are a reminder that "no one is immune from these attacks and everyone should be vigilant and stand on guard," Cellucci said in a speech to the University of Western Ontario on Wednesday

Cellucci said the U.S needs a strong Canadian military to help defend North America.

Cellucci said although the RCMP, the Canadians Security Intelligence Service and the military understand the seriousness of the terrorist threat, Canadian citizens do not express enough concern.

1. What a jerk.
The Canadian military should be funded back to health because it's the right thing to do, not because the US wants a bunch of rent-a-soldiers for worldwide operations.

I despise him and can't wait until he is replaced when Kerry wins! He is forever threatening us with trade, terrorist attacks, you name it. A**hole is an understatement imo!

6. Is that a promise or a threat, Cellucci?
I've been thinking for sometime there will be a devastating attack on Canadian soil this year. And it won't be "Muslim extremists," though it will be by those who "hate our freedom."

We have elections likely this Spring, and what's a few hundred Canadian dead, if it enhances the chance of a rightward tilt while devastating the rising left, and teaches a trauma-inducing lesson on the doorstep of the homeland?

I'll happily be proven wrong, but I feel it coming. And Celluci's words tell me, it's coming soon.

9. A History Lesson for Cellucci
Canada has a lot more experience and success in dealing with terroist than he gives us credit for.

Recall June 22, 1985 when a group of extreme Pakistani Shikhs detonated a bomb on one of Air India's plane (vancouver departure) killing all 329 passengers -- most of whom were Canadian citizens.

Did the Candians round up all Shikhs, or carpet bomb Pakistan. No they went after the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Well it took well over 19 years to bring the brabarians to justice. But I for one feel justice has been served.

10. Celucci has lobbed veiled threats at Canada when it would not join in

with Bush in the murderous slaughter in Iraq.

I think this is more trying to look like a big cheese who has some jurisdiction over Canada. Or, it could alos be a veiled threat, depending upon if one wears a tin foil hat or not.

If I were a Canadien, I would be laughing my head off at him.

13. trivia question for "Celluc" ...
Hey Mr. Ambassador -- why do you think most Canadian capital cities are so hard to get to?

We chose their locations to make them less vulnerable to attack by ... guess who. (That's why they built a new city, Ottawa, instead of picking either Toronto and Montreal -- they were too close to the border.)

My guess is that American cities haven't had to take this kind of thing into account! I'm reminded of this every time I go to/from my town (Victoria).

Oh, and we DO know about the "stand on guard" thing. It's in our national anthem.

continues to try to brainwash everyone=fear. Until the stupid dem's in office cut the lip-service and do something instead of playing along, NOTHING's going to change. They should have fought the pukes in 2000 instead of letting it slip. Who do we have to blame.
