Two Iraqi Journalists Killed in Shooting
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Gunmen opened fire on a minibus, killing three Iraqi journalists and wounding nine other employees of a coalition-funded TV station in northeastern Iraq, police said.

All the victims of the attack in the city of Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad, were employees of Diyala TV, said Sanaa al-Daghistani, the station's information director.

Police Capt. Mohammed Hadi identified the slain victims as Mohammed Farhan, Majeed Rashid and Nadia Shawkat.

Rebels often target Iraqis perceived as collaborators with the U.S.-led coalition that is governing Iraq. Guerrilla attacks on U.S. military patrols in the Baqouba area are frequent.

1. I can think of a few of our journalists here at home that should
have been on that bus.
