Chattanooga: Police respond to bomb threat on Hixson Pike

Police are preparing to inspect an 18-wheel truck that has been parked at Ark Care Storage on HixsonPike since Monday.

Owners of the storage business, which also sells propane, told police that the truck's driver filled out some paperwork but refused to show identification, then left the business and his truck.

ATF bomb experts have studied the truck noting “suspiscious additions” the sheriff said. He said the bomb experts are drilling a hole in the truck so they can insert a camera, he said.

The truck has Mississippi plates and is registered in Texas. The driver is being sought by the FBI, and the sheriff said he has “different views,” but would not elaborate.
