Seven people have been arrested for allegedly selling pipe bombs in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, Fox News has learned.

The arrests and raids in Michigan and Indianapolis are related to alleged militia activity in the region, but are not related to international terrorism. There is not a current threat to the public, according to a law enforcement source.

An official for the FBI's Michigan bureau said initial court appearances are expected in Michigan on Monday.

3. No, pipe bombs
are not a threat. They're just like firecrackers ;)

If there is a market for pipe bombs, that's a reason for the public to be concerned, currently. Oh, look the other way, no big deal.

They have been whipped into a slimy froth and now, a convenient distraction from other issues emerges.

10. I always look at the earliest reports and compare them to the later reports.
early:

Combined FBI, HS, JATF, State police - in at least three States.
Police at all intersections in the community around the County Building or some place else?
Arrests of six? at the MI-OH border?
No coverage last night or through the night from Fox or anyone else.
No police or anyone else speaking casually with clues i.e., tight lipped operation.

Homegrown terrorists acquire all those guns just to make pipe bombs?

Am I mis-appraising the impact of pipe bombs.

These people want blazing guns. And they appear to want it man to man or worse.

If we can't believe FOX at any time, I don't think now is the time - and never when the subject is all about people they feed, law and decency breakers of all kinds.

This one guy says:

And..... it is always easier to pick off those on the "fringe" because the middle of the herd still feels safe and says "at least it isn't me".
Did the FBI use the "self written" warrant rule power they now posses and then seal the warrants?
Remember, these are our fellow citizens and they deserve a fair and open trial for whatever crimes they are accused of, but since Homeland Security was involved these people may already be "detained" at any number of secret locations for an undetermined amount of time.

And he forgot to add WATERBOARDED AND PROSECUTED IN A MILITARY COURT to his list of complaints.

Isn't that what were supposed to do with terrorists?

39. Lets just compare to how the prosecuted those who were for Peace and Social Justice
So these guys were making and selling pipebombs, and these were crossing state lines.

in 2008, the FBI, Homeland Security, and Rogue Sheriff Fletcher of Ramsey county (St. Paul, MN).

Raided and arrested those at the "convergence (organizing) center for those coming to protest at the RNC. and then raided the homes and jail those who were organizing the logistics of the hundreds of peace and social justice groups coming to the Twin Cities to protest the Republican Agenda and Policies.

The total of those arrested before During and after the RNC was over 800.

there have been over 200 prosecuted, many taking the plea bargains.

There have been about 20 prosecuted as Felonies.. 5 are sitting in Prison now.
the worst one were two guys who were talking into buying stuff to make molotov cocktails by an FBI informant who as a respected activists (turned informant). They decided not to do anything with them, but still were arrested, prosecuted and sit in prison.

There are 8.. we call them the RNC8 who are awaiting their 2nd hearing next month and trial in Oct.

Their crime? Conspiracy to entice riots (reduced from conspiracy to futher terrorism)

Their weapons picked up in the raids: dirty water in a bucket, jacks (like the toy jacks), rubber bike tubes (that can be used as sling shots), and a hatchet. all these things were found in their garages or homes.

They face prison for 10 years.

sooooo.... What will the militia members get? I won't be surprised if all charges are dropped on the militia.

44. Seven arrested in FBI raids linked to Christian militia group
Source: Detroit News.com

At least seven people, including some from Michigan, have been arrested in raids by a FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as part of an investigation into an Adrian-based Christian militia group, a person familiar with the matter said.

The suspects are expected to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Detroit on Monday.

On Sunday, the FBI confirmed that federal law enforcement agents were conducting activities in Washtenaw and Lenawee counties over the weekend in connection to Hutaree, a Christian militia group. FBI Special Agent Sandra Berchtold told The Detroit News the federal warrants in the case are under court seal and declined further comment.

Sources have said the FBI was in the second day of raids around the southeastern Michigan city of Adrian that are connected to a militia group, known as the Hutaree, an Adrian-based group whose members describe themselves as Christian soldiers preparing for the arrival and battle with the anti-Christ.

A joint-terrorism task force led by the FBI has arrested at least seven people with ties to the militia group Hutaree in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, the Detroit News reported Sunday.

The Hutaree describe themselves as Christian soldiers preparing for the arrival and battle with the anti-Christ.

The FBI is believed to have targeted the Hutaree after its members made threats of violence against Islamic organizations. A U.S. official says some of the people arrested in the raids will face gun charges.

Screw them seriously screw them.

These are the types of people that blew up the Murrah building downtown. Freaking evil man. Back then I was younger and much poorer and only lived a few blocks from the blast.
