Missing Fla. Girl With Asperger's Found Alive
Source: CBS News/AP

Police have confirmed they have found an 11-year-old girl with Asperger's syndrome who went missing from her home near Orlando alive, CBS affiliate WTSP reported Tuesday.

Nadia Bloom was recovered early Tuesday morning and she was covered in mosquito bites, but was in good condition otherwise, the pastor at Bloom's church in Winter Springs told the station.

Police said Bloom may have been inspired by a book about an adventurous girl who decides to go camping in her backyard.

Police had been looking for Nadia Bloom since Friday.

Authorities say she disappeared the same day her sister and father left for a trip to the Everglades with a Brownie troop, and that she was carrying a book called "Lanie" about a young girl who

1. That's excellent news! Still, I can't help wonder - did FOX have 24x7 live coverage from Aruba?

4. Oh come now. I didn't think that was shitty. It was just honest.
Obviously I'm glad she was found alive and, minus the mosquito bites, basically healthy (but hungry).

7. I just passed by that scene twice today. It seemed like the rescue effort
was being staged right along the 417 Toll Road very near Lake Jessup.

I had no idea what was going on first at 9:30 this morning, and then at 3:00 this afternoon. The responders were there all day.

I couldn't figure it out. Now I'm relieved to know it had such a great ending.

8. A good ending instead of another tragedy...
mosquitoes go with camping...she learned that lesson. Delighted that she is ok.
