Microsoft tycoon funds hunt for alien life
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3556873.stm

Paul Allen, the co-founder of software titan Microsoft, is ploughing a slice of his fortune into the search for life on other planets.
Mr Allen is donating $13.5m to the California-based SETI Institute.

The money will be used to create a radio telescope array of more than 200 satellite dishes which will measure signals from space.

"It will expand our understanding of how the universe was formed," says Mr Allen, a keen fan of science fiction.

I used to crunch SETI data on my puter but it always made the fan run constantly.

2. Just an FYI
Paul Allen was the co-founder of Microsoft and was with the company for its first eight years but hasn't been a Microsoft employee since he retired in 1983 after he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease.

4. Ridiculous --
This guy is trying to declare bankruptcy at the Rose Garden in Portland, mostly because he spent too much money on worthless scumbags who drove the fans away. Then he hires another scumbag to blame the attendance woes on the economy. Baloney! No NBA town supported its team like Portland until the mid-90s, heck, until the last few years, really. That town forgave and forgave until it got burned far too many times by the Blazers and Allen.

Now he's burning the town again with a bankruptcy declaration while spending how much on this? While saving a few dollars by laying off most of the local Blazers employees while continuing to pay ridiculous amounts of money to losers on the court?

This is crap. Paul Allen is crap.

Sheesh.

5. Anyone Catch the History channel UFO Show Last Night?
It was called "When UFOs Arrive"

Had some cool stuff on there. Like how declassified CIA documents say to ridicule those who report UFOs and spread disinformation through the media. Reminds me of a lot of the responses when I posted a UFO poll... Hhhmmm...
