Democratic leader slams Romney on economic recordBy Associated Press

BOSTON - The state Democratic party leader called Republican Gov. Mitt Romney's economic policy a ``dismal failure'' Monday, three days after the state reported the highest monthly job loss in more than a year.
``As of today it's a pretty miserable record,'' said party chairman Phil Johnston. ``Where is the comprehensive economic policy in this state after 14 months?''
Since winning office on the strength of his business acumen, Romney has presided over the loss of 50,000 jobs during his first 14 months in office, Democratic chairman Phil Johnston said. He was particularly critical of the fact that Romney has not yet named a replacement for economic development secretary Robert Pozen, who resigned three months ago.
``Is there anyone in charge in the Romney administration?'' Johnston said.
