Attackers Fire Grenade at Baghdad Hotel

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Attackers fired a rocket-propelled grenade early Wednesday at a hotel housing foreign contractors and journalists, security guards said. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

The grenade hit the 13th floor of the Sheraton hotel, hotel guards said. The lobby of the hotel was strewn with glass.

Across the Tigris river, sirens wailed briefly in the area housing the U.S.-led coalition headquarters.

14. I wondered why they issued that warning.
My first response was DUH.
Now I wonder if they knew the Sheraton, or some hotel frequented by "visitors" was a target.

29. Sheraton =CIA
Can't remember where I read it, maybe in a le Carre novel, but the Sheraton is reputed to be the preferred haunt of Langley people.
