PLANS for armed sky marshals on British flights have been secretly shelved.
Home Secretary David Blunkett and Transport Secretary Alistair Darling announced the proposals last December under US pressure.
But a senior air industry source yesterday revealed ministers were never convinced by the idea and it was now "off the agenda".
Proposed talks with the British Airline Pilots Association, which opposed the move, have not been scheduled.
The airline insider added: "We think they've had second thoughts.
"The US, our lord and master, told the Government we must have air marshals, but the pressure has lifted. They seem to have lost all interest.

Just a ploy to implement Cheney's Dictatorship.
