Caribbean said not to accept Haiti gov't

By BERT WILKINSON, Associated Press
Last updated: 5:16 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2004

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts -- The 15-nation Caribbean Community does not plan to recognize Haiti's new U.S.-backed interim government, senior Caribbean officials said Friday.

Several senior officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the region's leaders made the decision by consensus on their second and final day of a summit.

They said they decided not have formal relations with the new government due to concerns about the departure of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide on Feb. 29 and the precedent it could set.

2. Oh shucks!
The cabal is going to be mighty pissed off! How dare those puny island nations defy the cabal's wishes!

In fact, didn't Condi issue a threat to Jamaica just the other day?! Man, she sure has been in the news a lot lately!

It could have just as easily been spoken by George W. Bush himself.

You only find out if you stumble across the papers on small islands, but Bush's ambassadors threaten and meddle in Caribbean island government decisions CONTINUALLY, even down to making trouble for them, as in Bermuda's case, if they attempt to sell their USED BUSES to a Bush enemy, like Cuba.

Sick, sick administration. Brave, brave little islands to stand up to these scums.

5. Yet another reason...
Why they all have to go! And the sooner the better!

4. What's not to accept?
