Forensic experts slated to oversee shooting probe -TW -American Henry Lee

State Public Prosecutor-General Lu Jen-fa (???) said yesterday that prosecutors will invite Henry Lee (???) and Shih Tai-ping (???) to Taiwan to join a special task force and lead the team's investigation into the March 19 shooting of President Chen Shui-bian (???) and Vice President Annette Lu (???) in Tainan.

Lee, a world-renowned forensic scientist, and Shih, the former director of the forensic medicine department of the National Police Administration's Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), both live in the US.

"They will be taking over and conducting the entire investigation," Lu said at a press conference yesterday afternoon.

"They will have full control and are authorized to invite any other experts whenever neces-sary, domestic or foreign," Lu said, adding that he had spoken with Shih just prior to the news conference.

Isn't Lee the guy we always see on TV shows? The great EXPERT? This completely shows how honest President Chen is! He doesn't have to do this! Just like he doesn't have to agree to a vote recount. There isn't even a law in Taiwan for recounting but Chen said OK, go ahead and recount! Do any of you notice a little difference between our leaders and President Chen's leadership? Cover up, oppose, hide, cheat... VS. complete honesty and Democracy and empathy and compassion and justice.
