Kerry Urges Rice to Testify Publicly to 9/11 Panel
By Patricia Wilson
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Reuters) - Prospective Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry challenged key White House adviser Condoleezza Rice on Saturday to testify publicly and under oath before a commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Kerry accused President Bush's White House of stonewalling the commission by keeping Rice off its public witness list, and of attempting "character assassination" against its own former counterterrorism chief, Richard Clarke.

<snip>

We're talking about the security of our country ... and the answer is, profoundly, yes, she should (testify)," he told reporters during a campaign stop in Kansas City.

2. It will be tougher for her to ignore the call for public testimony now
Even if she doesn't testify, she will think twice about going on the talk shows and making claims that she isn't willing to legally back up. It was a good move on Kerry's part. He does seem to have pretty good instincts about how long to let things simmer before speaking out.

3. The Bush Administration made a big mistake in thinking that Dean
was the bigger threat. IMHO Kerry is far more dangerous to the BFEE than any other candidate ever could be!

Go get'em John Kerry!

5. How 'bout a little Condi character assassination, for crying out loud?
BushCo surrogates are slamming Clarke left and right, and the Dems are once again watching with their collective fingers up their noses. When are we going to fucking learn!?

Hit back, hit back, hit back.

10. Why? Anyone think she's telling the truth?
You only need to assassinate a character that's still breathing.

6. What is the Bush White House's attitude toward Condi?
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 06:29 PM by rocknation
I haven't come across anything to the effect that Bush is backing her decision not to testify. In other words, WHOSE idea is it for Condi not to testify--hers or Cheney's?

9. I know why
Condi knows what bush knew.

She gets screwed so will bush.

She is the key to this whole mess. Why wasn't she fired the day after 9/11?
