Survey: 40% Of Republicans Watch Fox News Regularly
Source: AP, Huffington Post

The survey found 26 percent of Americans said they read a newspaper in print the day before, compared to 38 percent in 2006. However, 17 percent of Americans said they read something on a newspaper's website the day before, up from 9 percent two years earlier.

Pew's survey also illustrated how many Americans are headed to their own corners in cable news viewing and radio listening. Eighty-four percent of people in liberal MSNBC talk show host Keith Olbermann's audience say they approve of President Barack Obama's job performance, with 80 percent of Rachel Maddow's audience saying the same thing.

At the same time, 7 percent of conservative Sean Hannity's Fox News Channel viewers and 9 percent of Rush Limbaugh's listeners say Obama is doing a good job, the survey said. Three quarters of Limbaugh, Hannity and Glenn Beck's audiences identify themselves as tea party supporters.

Forty percent of Republicans say they watch Fox News Channel regularly, compared to 18 percent a decade ago, a strong factor in the network's popularity, Pew said.

10. They are too busy watching soap operas to find the
remote control and change the channel.

Either that, or the battery died on the remote control and they don't know how to fix it.

5. When I stay in hotels, I delete Faux from the remote
I simply program it out of the channel selections. Does that make me a bad man?

11. Doctors Office
I went to a doctor last week that did NOT have Faux news running on its televisions. I cannot express how grateful I was.

There is not a doctor or dentist office in town that does not have Faux going on all its televisions. And we wonder how it has such high viewer numbers and how it is so effective in getting people upset with government? You have people sitting for hours in waiting rooms with nothing to do except (a) be concerned about their health and the bill they will be presented with from the visit, and (b) watch the fear mongering of Faux.

And then get upset about health care law!!!!

I also just changed to U-Verse (att) - for the same price as Comcast I can not watch news that is not GOP based. Basic cable offers one cable news source - Faux. In order to get MSNBC you must have a premium service with the cable company.

Interesting isn't it.

6. The real number is much higher.

Either they are embarrassed to call themselves Repubs or the poll is excluding a large audience, like cell phone users. The actual number is closer to 80% I believe.

7. Fox tells them what they want to hear and to some that is very comforting.
You were right to vote for bush.

Democrats/Liberals are bad.

Obama is behind the debt and the loss of jobs.

We (Fox) are looking out for people like you unlike the liberal media.

Bad people (liberals, gays, brown people, muslims, educated people, jews, and so on) are out to get you.

Fox has pretty girls w/ porn star lip gloss and they look so nice too.

17. I'm shocked!!
Shocked, I tell you!

"sarcasm"

The other day on a forum, a republican poster said she was outraged that Obama had stolen the election.

After all, NOT one person from her home state of Tennessee had voted for him and that Obama didn't get any electoral votes from Oklahoma or Tennessee.

Therefore, she didn't understand how on earth he ever could have won.
