Pelosi sees no justification for high-end tax cuts
Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday there is "no justification" for extending tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, saying the nation cannot afford the price tag.

Democrats largely back President Barack Obama's plan to extend lower taxes for middle and lower income groups only, but a small minority favor renewing tax cuts for all Americans, including the wealthiest three percent.

<...>

Some compromises have been floated, including a one-year or two-year extension for the top income groups, but Pelosi has stood firm against them.

"I see no justification for giving a tax break, going into debt with foreign countries to underwrite the subsidized tax cuts for the wealthiest people in America," Pelosi told reporters.

4. I want to know WHO is waffling?
I keep hearing this "a handful of democrats.." crap. WHO are these handful? I'd like to talk to them...and if MY representative is one, I'd REALLY like to talk to them.

How about some specifics on this? Can't do anything but sweat if we don't know who we are talking about, and how many.

12. The time has come to get rid of these Blue Dog DINO "democrats"
These people are the problem.

They make the Democratic agenda impossible.

They facilitate every single thing most Democrats do not want, wars based on lies, and Decmocrats losing on every policy issue even when they have a majority in congress.

When are we going to give these Blue Dogs the boot?

I can't start a thread on my on at this point as a new user and I am certain this issue has been raised before.

How do we get rid of these DINOs?

15. Can someone tell me, what is the justification for any tax cuts?
And don't give me that crap about how raising taxes in a recession is supposed to be
bad for the economy. The government is currently the most reliable and robust investor
and employer. How is taking money from someone who continues to invest and employ
people and giving it to those who with high likelihood will just sit on it or, even worse,
move it abroad is supposed to help the economy? Just wondering.
