18 families sue PG&E over San Bruno blast

Eighteen more families victimized in the deadly natural gas pipeline explosion and fire in San Bruno filed suit Monday against Pacific Gas and Electric Co.

The 52 residents of the city's Crestmoor neighborhood said in a suit filed in San Mateo County Superior Court that the utility "failed to take corrective and life-saving action" in response to some residents' alleged reports of earlier gas leaks.

The Sept. 9 blast killed eight people and destroyed 37 homes.
