Obama invites Republicans and Democrats to White House
Source: CNN

(CNN) - President Barack Obama has invited the leaders of the Republicans and Democrats in both houses of Congress to join him in a meeting to discuss what to do in the waning days of this Congress's term, vowing it will "not be just a photo-op," he said Thursday.

Obama wants to discuss the future of the Bush-era tax cuts, he said. They're due to expire at the end of the year, and Republicans and Democrats disagree about whether - or how - to extend them.

The meeting is set for November 18, Obama said.

7. This is like a chess game where your opponent lost their Queen and you have him in Check
Then you decide that your strategy will be to leave your Queen in the corner and never move it, eventually you lose your Queen and all other important pieces until you have nothing but a few pawns and your King. All of a sudden, you decide to talk with your opponent about how the rest of the Chess game will go.

Please, Mr. President, we need you to lead us now. They made it clear that we must go to them. And the Repukes said something telling: offer a clear choice and voters will like it (even though in this case the "choice" the Repukes offer is a really bad one.)

17. I doubt that the republicans will attend. Their base wants them to stop everything. Going to the
White House will be seen as a sign of weakness by the teabaggers.
