Steamboat Developer Indicted In Murder-For-Hire Plot

DENVER -- A Denver federal grand jury has indicted a Steamboat Springs developer on charges of attempting to hire a hitman to kill a business associate who won a $2.5 million lawsuit against him, authorities said Thursday.
Brooks L. Kellogg, 72, is accused of meeting an undercover FBI agent at Denver International Airport on Oct. 19 and paying him $2,000 in "expense money" to kill Stephen Bunyard, according to an FBI criminal complaint.
